Six short steps to send and receive SMS through your own BulkGate account.
Install BulkGate SMS by VoxFlow on your sub-account.
In your sub-account, click BulkGate SMS Setup in the left menu.
In BulkGate, open Modules & APIs. You need an application of type HTTP Advanced API — if you do not have one yet, create it there first. Open it. Copy the Application ID and Application Token (click + ADD TOKEN if you have none yet), paste them on the setup page and save. No BulkGate account yet? Create a free one.
Copy the webhook URL shown on the setup page. In BulkGate, go to Modules & APIs → your Application → Web hooks → Delivery reports → CONFIGURE and paste it into the “URL delivery reports” field, then save. Leave the three checkboxes on that dialog unticked (Turn off URL availability check, Report only when error occurs, Bulk DLRs). This is required for delivery statuses and for receiving replies.
In your sub-account, go to Settings → Phone Numbers → Advanced Settings → SMS Provider, select BulkGate SMS and save.
Send an SMS to your own number from a conversation. It should show as delivered within a few seconds, and your reply should appear in the same conversation.
Good to know. SMS only for now — MMS, Viber, WhatsApp and RCS are not supported yet, but are planned. Messages are sent from the number BulkGate assigns to your account; custom Sender ID is not available yet. Recipients can opt out by replying STOP.
Several sub-accounts, one BulkGate account. Give each sub-account its own BulkGate application (BulkGate portal > Modules & APIs > add an HTTP Advanced API application), and paste that application's ID and token into that sub-account. BulkGate sends replies to one webhook URL per application, so this is how every reply finds the right sub-account. All applications can belong to the same BulkGate account.
Pricing. SMS delivery is billed by BulkGate to your own BulkGate account. Separately, VoxFlow charges a module fee of USD 0.01 per outbound SMS message (per message, not per segment), billed through your account wallet.
